MERTZON, Texas — Miles controlled the game from start to finish and earned a 50-44 win over Irion County Saturday morning.
Sophomore forward Shelton Petrey scored a game-high 22 points for the Bulldogs while sophomore forward Bo Morrow recorded a team-high 15 points for Irion County.
Miles and Irion County will return to action at home on Dec. 8. The Hornets will host Rocksprings at 7:45 p.m. and the Bulldogs will host Eden at 8 p.m.
