MERTZON, Texas — Miles escaped a late scare and pulled out a win over Irion County 52-47 Saturday morning.
Freshman post Grace Schwertner and junior post Regan Smithwick each scored a team-high 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Rainey poured in a game-high 16 points for Irion County.
Miles and Irion County will return to action on Dec. 8. The Lady Hornets will host Rocksprings at 6:15 p.m. while the Lady are set to host Rocksprings on Dec. 8 at 6:15 p.m. while Miles hosts Eden at 6:30 p.m.
