Brady’s Howard Is Moving On 12-17-14

Brady
The Brady Bulldogs were bi-district qualifiers the past two seasons and know their head coach will be moving on. Joining us now is KSAN’s Rachel Turnock with more on the story.

AFTER THREE SEASONS UNDER HEAD COACH ANDY HOWARD, THE BULLDOGS WILL BE UNDER A NEW HEAD COACH NEXT SEASON. HOWARD  HAS ACCEPTED AN ASSISTANT COACHING POSITION WITH THE GOLTH-WAIT EAGLES. THE EAGLES ARE CLASS 2-A DIVISION ONE.  HOWARD SPENT THREE SEASONS WILL THE BULLDOGS AND THIS SEASON WAS HIS BEST- FINISHING 8 AND 3. HOWARD’S FIRST SEASON WAS IN 2012, AND BRADY WENT 2 AND 8 THAT YEAR. IN 2013, HOWARD LED THE TEAM TO THE BI-DISTRICT ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS. EASTLAND KNOCKED BRADY OUT THAT YEAR. THIS YEAR, THE BULLDOGS ALSO WENT TO THE BI-DISTRICT ROUND, BUT THEY LOST TO BOYD, 33-12.

Andy Howard: “My wife grew up in Goldthwaite so this is her home. She has a lot of family here in Goldthwaite. All of my kids I have three kids and all of their little cousins are here in Goldthwaite so it’s a family atmosphere for us. Also I’m coming into a great program as well that I hope that I can help contribute and help win a lot of football games.”

THERE IS STILL ONE CONCHO VALLEY TEAM LEFT STANDING–THE MASON PUNCHERS WILL FACE THE CANADIAN WILDCATS THURSDAY AT 1 FOR THE CLASS 2-A DIVISION ONE TITLE. KSAN WILL BE THERE AND WILL HAVE HIGLIGHTS FROM THAT GAME.
