Trial delayed for man charged with arson and threatening police

Another trial delay for the 69 year old San Angelo man charged with attempted capital murder of a peace officer and arson.

Gary Wright  is charged in the Jan 2017 incident where according to court documents he pointed a gun at a peace officer and intentionally set fire to his home on East 21st street by igniting gasoline inside.

In court Monday, attorneys discussed a trial date with the judge.  

Another hearing is set for next month.

Earlier this year, Wright’s wife Brenda, plead guilty to her charges and received a 15 year prison sentence.
