I was born and raised in the small town of Hondo, TX and have had a passion for sports journalism and trivia since I was in junior high. After high school, I attended then earned my degree in Electronic Media from Texas State University (Eat ‘Em Up Cats!) While at school, I interned at KTBC Fox 7 in Austin and worked at the school’s radio station, KTSW. My first job in the journalism world was the Big Spring Bureau Reporter for KOSA CBS 7 in Odessa, TX. After about a year in that position, my dream of covering sports came true when I took the Weekend Sports Anchor job. Following that I took the same position up at the NBC affiliate, KAMR, in Amarillo. There I got the wonderful opportunity to cover back to back state football championship along with NCAA Division II basketball, volleyball, and softball tournaments. After almost two years in the Panhandle, I took the Sports Director job here at KSAN in hopes of covering all of the great stories and teams in the Concho Valley. Even though I am a born and raised Texan, my favorite sports teams are the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Buccaneers! If you have any questions or story ideas, feel free to send them my way at jbritsch@ksan.tv !
