Jaydon Hart joined the KSAN Sports team in May of 2019.
Born and raised in West Texas, Jaydon always had a passion for sports. He dreamt about one day being involved in the sports media industry in some capacity. It wasn’t until after he began his studies at the University of Texas at Austin, he decided to pursue his childhood dream. His first opportunity came when he enrolled at the University of Texas-Permian Basin in the fall of 2017. There he hosted a weekly show on local radio station Rock 95.1 FM centered around the school’s new football program.
What started as a weekly show turned into a major role with the station’s sports team as they broadcast UTPB football games. Once football season was over he continued as one of the play-by-play voices for the UTPB basketball team. It was during this time he decided he wanted to start filming highlights for games and get in front of a camera. For the next two years, he helped transform My Falcon Radio. Bringing the new broadcast organization within the university into the school’s official student media station.
During this time he also joined the Midland Reporter-Telegram staff, helping the sports department. His role there eventually expanded and he served as a correspondent covering sporting events across the area. Before the summer of 2018, Jaydon decided to pursue television and interned with KUTV in Salt Lake City. There he was taught the ins and outs of the sports television industry. In the Spring of 2019, he graduated from the UTPB with a major in Marketing.
Jaydon is an avid Dallas Mavericks and Texas Longhorns fan. He also roots for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, from skiing in the winter to hiking and fishing in summer.
