What a big difference in the last 24 hours, all thanks to the cold front that passed through yesterday morning. Temperatures were capped to the 80's yesterday and starting today off below average. Normally this time of year we look for highs at 96 degrees and lows at 72. The front broke the string of triple digits days as well, and it's not looking to return in the next week. Slow warm up in the Concho Valley expecting to see only 91 today with mostly sunny skies and light winds. While all this is going on a small impulse of energy is moving north through Mexico. This feature could interact with the front bringing chance of showers to our west, coming as close to our area as Crockett county. Into tonight lows will dip back into the mid 60's warming up only a degree or two through the weekend and into the work week. High pressure builds back in by the middle of next week bring the heat back on, but there are signs another trough of low pressure could allow for changes again. Holding off until those features get much closer into the forecast.
