KLST Wed. 10/23/13 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

Warmer conditions persist across West Texas as high pressure continues to push off to the east. While this system moves another low pressure near Southern California makes its way closer. Expecting warm temps this afternoon near 79 degrees with sunny skies and warm breezy winds from the southwest 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight conditions will stay mostly clear but warmer near 48 degrees. Very similar conditions expected Thursday with calmer winds down to 5 to 10 mph. The low mentioned earlier will pass through the region Thursday into Friday sending a cold front through the area. The front is looking to stall out just to our north so bringing nothing more than slightly cooler temperatures and a winds shift. Saturday we'll see more cloud cover and our next shot at possible showers, standing right now at 30%. Sunday looks to start off another warmer trend with temps back into the upper 70's and cracking the 80's by Monday afternoon.
