Gusty north winds this morning as the cold front inched closer to the Concho Valley. As we made our way through the morning temperatures dropped into the mid 40's and struggling to warm up. After the front passes winds will also die down becoming much lighter from the northeast 10 to 15 miles per hour, compared to the 35 mph gusts we've already seen. The cooler air behind the front is drier as well so clouds will dissipate tonight allowing for freezing temperatures across the board. The National Weather Service has set up a Freeze Warning for the Concho Valley from 9PM tonight to 9AM tomorrow morning. Right now forecast lows are near 24 degrees here in San Angelo with some places possibly cooler. By Wednesday a gradual warming trend will take over as winds return to the southeast and temps rise to the 50's. Another chilly morning is possible going into Thursday in the lower 30's. Compared to seasonal norms this is way below average, but the low and high temperature. Thursday expecting near 63 degrees, 68 by Friday. By the weekend watching for more cloud cover as we warm back into the 70's with a possible shower on Saturday, around 20%. Slightly cooler for Monday as next cold front looks to pass through the area.
