KLST Tues. 11/05/13 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Low pressure to the west continues to move towards the Concho Valley. The associated cold front with the system is set to pass through the panhandle later today pushing through the region late tonight, early morning. As moisture still increases across the state rain chances will linger through the day with the best chance tonight with the cold front. Temperatures will be able to warm up to the mid 70's this afternoon with a light breeze from the southwest 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight's low will dip back to the upper 40's thanks the to front and the cooler, dry air behind it. Winds could get a little gusty, calming down by daybreak and only warming up to the upper 60's for Wednesday. Cool, Dry, Calm and Clear conditions for Wednesday night/early Thursday will make for a very cold morning. Low could drop to the mid 30's overnight with some patchy frost possible. The rest of the week looks to stay dry as the upper weather pattern becomes mainly "zonal" or straight from the west to the east. Temperatures will gradually warm up from the mid 60's on Thursday to the mid 70's for the Weekend. Clouds will stay intermediate as well, possibly increase just in time for the next weak cold front just in time for Veterans Day.
