KLST Fri. 12/27/13 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Friday, December 27, 2013.

A little more cloud cover keeping us warmer then the past couple of mornings. We're also seeing some showers across the I-10 corridor. Those showers along with the clouds will move out by sunrise making way for another pleasant day in the Concho Valley. Mostly sunny skies and light winds from the southeast will allow temps to climb to the mid 50's, just shy of the seasonal mark. Going into the evening winds will continue to shift, picking up in the early morning hours of Saturday 5 to 10 miles per hour. High pressure along the surface will make for a warmer start to the weekend as temps jump up into the mid 60's, now above average. But the warmer trend will be short lived as low pressure to our north sends a cold front through the area Sunday morning capping temps to only the mid 40's with gusty and chilly north winds. The next week means we'll spend the rest of 2013 warming back up to the seasonal mark of 59 degrees. Monday will reach the upper 40's near 48, back to the upper 50's by Tuesday. Wednesday looks just as nice as Saturday as we climb back to the 60's just in time for the start of 2014. Thursday will be slightly cooler near 56 with sunny skies.
