A recent survey by State Farm found that 67 percent of drivers are not prepared for an emergency situation. The Junk Trunk survey also found that men tend to be more prepared than women in having emergency essentials in the vehicle. The chances of being stranded on the side of the road are higher during the winter months due to icy conditions. It is recommended to be prepared by having items needed such as: blankets, flahslights, jumper cables, first aide kit, phone charger, bottled water, snacks, and a bag of cat litter or sand to help get your vehicle out from an ice patch.
