"Stand Down for Homeless Vets"

The tragic 9/11 attack caused many brave individuals to step up in order to protect us and our country just as those before them have done. Our veterans have endured tragic events, and unfortunately, some continue to live through hard times today.

Harley Davidson generously donated $7,000 to the event "Stand down for Homeless Vets" event held on Saturday. Homeless Veterans were invited to the event to enjoy a hot meal and to sign-up for support services.

Many services are available for those homeless vets including the clothing that was provided.

A retired Marine Bat Commander says there are 147 homeless vets under the age of 26 in Tom Green County.
