Early Saturday morning, a shooting outside a local bar results in two dead and a standoff with the suspect later that afternoon.

Officials responded to the shots fired at 2 a.m. where they found three victims shot at the intersection of 13th and Martin Luther King outside of Richard's Bar.

The three male victims, whose names have not yet been released, were transported to Shannon Medical Center. Two were pronounced dead at the local hospital.

Officials say the third victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

After further investigation, officials were able to local the suspect, 25-year-old Jessie Fitchett, Saturday afternoon at his residence located on West 8th Street.

For several hours, the San Angelo Police Department SWAT and Hostage Negotiation teams surrounded the home attempting to communicate with the suspect.

"We administered several rounds of gas for a length of time. The suspect would not come out. We waited some more; our SWAT team finally made entry, and upon entry found the suspect deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound," Chief Tim Vasquez stated.

A motive has not yet been determined. This is an ongoing investigation.
