A new fire truck is slated to come to the San Angelo Fire Department.

This announcement comes after the San Angelo City Council approved the measure to purchase a new truck.

While the new truck will not exceed the $460,000 budget, it is expected to carry some new improvements previous trucks lacked.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, fire truck requirements are changed on a frequent basis.

Here in San Angelo, a fire truck is purchased every 2 to 3 years.

The new fire truck is expected to have better breaks, electronics, and it will be user friendly.

The new fire truck is scheduled to arrive in July or August.
