The hot trend has taken over the Concho Valley, with six consecutive days of 100+ degrees, and it's not slowing down. Today will feel hot as skies stay sunny and winds stick around from the south 10 to 15 miles per hour. High pressure will continue to be the dominate force in our weather keeping conditions high and dry for the next several days, near 102 this afternoon. Overnight tonight will stay warm as well, only dipping to near 76 degrees and mostly clear skies. By Tuesday conditions will relatively remain unchanged but winds will pick up pace pretty gusty around 10 to 15 mph gusts around 20. With the stronger winds, hotter temperatures as well near 103 degrees. Cold front does try to change things up by Wednesday, but looks to miss the Concho Valley, giving only warmer conditions near 105 degrees. Showers with the front are expected to stay well off to the north as well, so we'll only see a possibility of a little more cloud cover by Thursday. Still expecting conditions to be hot near 104 degrees. Friday high pressure shows signs of weakening as low pressure moves west in the gulf, that could give us more moisture and cooler temps, ending the work week around 101 degrees. But enough of a change to possibly drop into the upper 90's for Saturday and Sunday. For now will watch the models for potential change, this could be a break or it could not.
