Afternoon weather for Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
Another slightly above average day in the Concho Valley. High pressure remains to be the dominate feature in the forecast, giving us warm and dry conditions. Today's high temperature expected to reach near 92 degrees with sunny skies. Into the overnight hours winds will stay fairly breezy making way for a much warmer night then we've seen the past few days. As high pressure moves east moisture from the gulf will increase allowing for some cooler days, but warmer nights. Thursday still sit around 92, just like today but near 88 degrees with mostly sunny skies on Friday. Saturday, our attention will switch to the north as low pressure moves through and sends a cold front into the region. This will help to not only cool us down but give the next chance for rain. Best timing remain sometime Saturday night, but the chances for rain could linger into Sunday as well. After the front passes things will dry back out staying in the mid 80's for both Monday and Tuesday.
