KLST Tues. 10/08/13 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Looking for another warm day across the Concho Valley as the sun shine pores through. Along with a second warming component from the south winds 10 to 15 miles per hour, may see a gust around 20. Overnight, skies will be mostly clear and winds will stick around helping to keep lows warmer then we've seen the past few days, in the mid 50's. Wednesday, high pressure moving through the region will help to keep these conditions pretty much through the week. Temperatures expected to reach near 87 degrees with mostly sunny skies and breezy south winds 15 to 20 miles per hour. Thursday and Friday looks to be about the same with highs in the mid 80's. Low pressure starting to the west will also make it's way closer to the region, increasing cloud cover by the weekend. This will send a cold front into Texas, but it's effect is still too far out to say for sure. At the same time high pressure will form off Mexico bringing an increase of gulf moisture to the region and a possible shower in connection with the front. Timing of these two system are very dependent of whether we'll see any showers, so holding off till it gets much closer in the forecast.
