KLST Thurs. 09/19/13 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Thursday, September 19, 2013.

Already seeing some signs of showers in Crockett county this morning. This is a good start to what could be a very wet next few days. Rain chances are around 70% for the Concho Valley this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and much cooler temps. Because of the could cover, afternoon highs are only expected to reach near 84 degrees. Overnight expect to see cloudy conditions remain and showers linger, there may even be a thunderstorms throughout the day as well. Lows will dip into the upper 60's but will keep dropping in the forecast. Friday, showers are back in the forecast as low pressure moves to our north bringing a cold front through the area Friday afternoon. The front is not a big one but enough to cap temps around 81 degrees and keep overnight lows in the mid 60's. Behind the front is much drier air so expecting a few lingering showers Friday night into Saturday morning but by the afternoon will be dry and clouds start moving out. Rest of the weekend is dry and sunny, overnight conditions may even be ample for temps to drop into the upper 50's as daytime highs warm back into the low 90's.
