Staying fairly consistent with the forecast for today. High temperatures are expected to reach near 94 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Winds will be to the east this afternoon around 5 to 10 miles per hour. This as a backdoor cold front is expected to stall just to our north becoming a stationary front. The change in winds and the front has brought a slight chance of thunderstorms to our region. The best chance will to our north across the big country, so expecting the Concho Valley to stay dry. Saturday will be slightly cooler and dry to start off the weekend, near 92 degrees and breezy winds from the east 10 to 15 miles per hour. Sunday will be about the same near 91. Monday could start off a wet work week. High pressure will flatten out to our east as a tropical depression moves into mexico. The combination of the two could bring a lot of gulf moisture into west texas. Right now 20% chance for thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday as temps drop into the upper 80's. Those chances could last through thursday, but for now expecting to see partly sunny skies.
