The countdown until Thanksgiving is now just 26 days away, but the annual H-E-B Mobile Kitchen is bringing in the holiday spirit early.
Saturday morning, the 45-foot H-E-B Eddie Garcia Mobile Kitchen arrived at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in San Angelo to begin preparing for Sunday's annual "Feast of Sharing".
The mobile kitchen helps preare 3,500 hundred meals an hour, but volunteers expect to provide almost 7,000 meals during Sunday's event.
Saturday, the crew sliced 1,800 pounds of turkey, set up the serving lines and table, and decorated the Wells Fargo Pavilion to heighten the Thanksgiving spirit.
"Feast of Sharing" will be at the Wells Fargo Pavilion from 11 to 3 p.m. Sunday. The H-E-B Mobile Kitchen has provided meals in San Angelo for over 10 years, and will be visiting 17 cities in Texas through December providing a total of 225,000 meals.
