Danny Green Hosts Shooting Skills Clinic at Lakeview High School 08-02-13

Danny Green has brought his basketball talents to San Angelo. The NBA star is hosting a shooting skills clinic for young kids in the area where he makes it his priority to reach out to the next generation during his off time.<br><br>"I enjoy working with kids, says Green. I remember how it was being a kid growing up and how one person could influence your life."<br><br>Green hosts multiple basketball camps during the summer, but the Shooting Stars clinic at Lakeview High School is specifically set up to teach kids how to shoot. It also gives him an opportunity to reach out to children outside of the San Antonio area. <br><br>The majority of the kids at the Shooting Stars clinic won't become basketball superstars, but for those that strive to become successful like Green, he says there's no easy way to make it to the top.<br><br>"It's hard to explain, says Green. There's a lot of sacrificing that you have to do. The biggest things for kids is sacrificing your play time or with your friends, when you get older your family. You don't have as much time to spend with those people if you want to do something special."<br><br>
