Jeff: "Water Valley volleyball has always been a team to watch out for. The Lady Wildcats play in one of the toughest districts in the state with Miles Bronte and Sterling City apart of that district. The Lady Wildcats may have fallen into the shadows of the district but dont count them out just yet."
Kiri Long: "We may be counted as the underdog right now because Miles Bronte and Sterling City they're all doing very well right now but we're getting there too. A lot of people don't know but we're doing pretty well and we expect great things this year."
Jeff: "The Lady Wildcats are under the leadership of new head coach Lea Morris. Coach Morris is confident that her new system and a strong team bond is the right combination for success."
Lea Morris: "Definitely big shoes to fill. However I'm coming into it implementing my own system and just working the girls hard. Coming together as a team is our number one goal this year."
Ambree Gilliam: "We're coming along pretty great. We are bonding really well. We're all working really hard to get to a goal. Everybody is counting us out this year so we are working really hard to prove to people we are better than they expect."
Jeff: "The seniors on this years squad are the last class of girls from the 2011 State Championship team. They feel the pressure to make it back to Austin."
Kaitelyn Banister: "Maybe a little pressure but I think we have a chance to get there by working really hard and keep fighting hard like we're use too."
Jeff: "With Austin being the ultimate goal for the Lady Wildcats coach Morris knows the trip to Austin starts now by accomplishing smaller goals and taking the season one game at a time."
Morris: "We just take it one game at a time. It's not always about the wins, it's how well we play as a team and meeting certain goals that we've set for ourselves throughout the season."
