TLCA Given Army Strong Team of the Year in 1A.

What happens when you go from the basement to the penthouse? The TLCA Eagles now know.
After completing their best season in program history, which included a nine and oh regular season, a district championship, and the school's first UIL playoff win ever the TLCA football team was presented with a great honor.

At the school's annual sports banquet on Tuesday the team was named with the Army Strong Team of the Year for the state of Texas.

The award, which was first handed out in 2006 by Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine, is given to one team in each of the State's 6 different classifications.

No other school in 1A football was more deserving than the Eagles who began UIL play losing its first 20 games but the program has gone from the basement to the penthouse and here is the reaction from several members of the team.
