David Collier: "Hello once again from Coral Gables. The Texas Tech baseball team hitting the practice field one last time earlier today working out for a little over an hour before finally getting pack to post-season play tomorrow in the first round of the Miami regional against Columbia. Now the Red Raiders are entering this regional as the two seed. They have just one last win than the host Miami, but a lot less hype entering this regional. Of course, you would expect that in a traditional baseball power in a school that's won four national championships. The Red Raiders are okay with being overlooked."
Unidentified player: "I mean it is definitely in the back of our minds. We have something we want to prove to everybody else."
Unidentified player: "Yeah I think that kind of helps. We're fine with that. We're just going to play our game and surprise people."
Unidentified player: "There is always going to be people who think you're not going to win. That gives us motivation."
Unidentified player: "We kind of feel like we are a little bit of underdogs right now. That's good. That will give us some more fire out there."
Collier: "Now before the Red Raiders can worry about Miami or Bethune-Cookman for that matter, they have to take care of business against Columbia in the first round. Texas Tech dodging a bullet. Won't have to face Columbia ace David Spear. He had an emergency appendectomy on Monday. The Lions will instead go with right handed sophomore George Thenopolis who enters the game with a 5-2 record."
