For the first time, the city of San Angelo has a stricter lighting ordinance. It takes effect immediately. San Angelo city council members took a final vote on the ordinance at their meeting on Tuesday. It will regulate both residential and commercial lighting and affect people with flood, spot, and search lights. The ordinance requires property owners to limit glaring light to their property boundaries. Violators could e fined up to 500 dollars a day.
