Sonora Broncos talk about bi-district win 02-11-14

Sonora advanced with a fourth quarter comeback on Monday at the Central gymnasium against Ballinger. After being held to single digit scoring in the third frame, Sonora exploded for 29 points in the final quarter to secure the win. The victory allowed them to cut down the nets and add a trophy to the display case in Sutton County.

Zella Powers: "Oh my gosh, it feels awesome. You work so hard for something and it's good to that what you've been working for all year."

Rich Dozier: "What's important is to set traditions. When the kids can come back in five and ten years and go point at something and say 'I did that'. When you get old you realize those type of things and I've kind of taught the kids that and they understand it now and they want their name on that trophy, they want to come back and show their children one day."

Sonora will face the winner of Nocona and Breckenridge, but that game has been postponed to Wednesday.... Also in class 2A, Wall will face the winner of Clyde and Wichita Falls City View, that game will be played on Wednesday as well.
