Police investigators are working with 1st Community Federal Credit Union to warn customers about the "texting" scam that may effect several hundred members and non-members.

Bank Representatives have confirmed that scammers are texting people in the area, claiming to be with the credit union, requesting personal account information.

Officials advise that customers not respond to the text, do not call the number, or anyone you don't recognize. Alert your bank of any suspicious activity.
