An AEP Texas Spokesman says the outage was triggered by an underground shortage near the Salvation Army on 2nd and Farr Street.
Crews responded to the incident quickly and were able to restore power to the majority of the 282 affected before noon.
All power was restored before 1:00 p.m., Tuesday.
