Windy conditions will help to keep it warm through the morning, assisting temperatures later today to creep closer to the triple digit mark. Today expecting to see sunny skies and highs near 98 degrees with south winds 15 to 20 miles per hour. High pressure continues to build east becoming centered over the Concho Valley. We've already seen the effects with warm, windy and muggy afternoons. Today will not be any different. Tonight lows will drop once again into the low 70's. Climatologically, a normal low today would be in the upper 60's and a high would only reach the low 90's. The above average trend continues all through the work week dominated by high pressure. As we get closer to the weekend low pressure to our north starts to take over slowly pushing a cold front south through the area. Depending on the timing and how far south the front goes, we could even see some chance for showers Sunday and Monday. Right now holding off and staying dry, but at least expecting to see some relief from the heat. Upper 90's Friday and Saturday, near 94 for Sunday and the mid 90's for the start of the next work week.
