KLST Wed. 04/09/14 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Watch for mild spring like conditions to keep on track for the next couple of days. That means warmer and dry conditions across the Concho Valley. Today will see highs reach near 87 degrees with a light breeze around 10 to 15 miles per hour. A ridge of high pressure to our west will conditions to be the feature to watch the nex couple of days, picking up pace on the warmer trend. Tonight skies will stay mostly clear and mild only dropping to the mid 50's thanks to the stronger winds. Gusty conditions expected for thursday as highs continue to warm into the upper 80's, flirting with the 90's. But that won't be the end of things, Friday looks now to the hottest day this week making it's way into the lower 90's with mostly sunny skies. That's where we turn our attention to low pressure off the coast of southern California to make it's way into our region. Slightly cooler on Saturday, back to the 80's with extra cloud cover and moisture. Sunday will drop into the 70's but rain showers are now holding off until possible the evening hours into overnight. Dry once again by Monday and cooler near 69 degrees. Expect the seasonal 70's to return next Tuesday.
