Afternoon weather forecast for Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
Active on 2/20 from 10AM to 6PM
A foggy start to the morning today. A dense fog advisory was is in effect for Runnels, Concho, Schleicher, Sutton, Coleman, McCulloch, Menard, Kimble and Mason counties till 10am this morning. Visibility was reduced to 1/4 of a mile so extra precaution was needed when heading out for work and taking the kids out for school. By the mid morning most of the fog dissipated and clear out to bright sunny skies. Another day in the 80's is expected along with breezy southwest winds 15 to 20 miles per hour. Unlike in the past overnight the winds will stick around as a cold front starts it's way through the lone star state. Lows will dip down to the 50's once again. By Thursday the winds will shift towards the northeast becoming gusty around 20 to 25 miles per hour, and cooler temperatures in the mid 60's, which is normal for this time of year. Gradually look for the 70's to return Friday and stay there as several weak fronts help to keep us in the upper 60's to the low 70's through the weekend and the beginning of the next work week.
