The below average start this morning will make for a fairly pleasant afternoon with sunny skies and highs reaching the upper 80's to low 90's. The cold front that pushed through yesterday will slowly move out of the lone star state helping to keep those cooler north winds for one more day. The bad news is this trend is short lived. Overnight partly cloudy skies will build in as winds start switching back towards the south. Expect to see seasonal norms in the upper 60's for our overnight low quickly warming up into the upper 90's that afternoon. Wednesday night may bring a few showers and thunderstorms into the area as they form off to the west and move into our area. 20% chance is slim so coverage will be scattered and isolated. Thursday will flirt with the triple digit mark expecting to reach near 99 degrees as south winds persist and high pressure builds back in. That evening a weak front will pass bringing a quick little cool down for Friday, dropping to the lower 90's. But temperatures rebound fast and return to the upper 90's for the weekend and the start of the next work week.
