KLST Tues. 04/22/14 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Tuesday, April 22, 2014.

A fairly mild morning will shape up into a great afternoon. Cloud cover will stay very light making way for sunny skies and slightly above average temperatures in the upper 80's. Winds will start to shift ending up towards the east 10 to 15 miles per hour. Overnight into Wednesday, watch for a few more clouds as winds switch even more to the south east, allowing for dew points and humidity to increase. Lows should drop to around 61 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Partly sunny for Wednesday as temps continue to warm near 89 degrees. A dry line will form to our west and interact with a small bit of energy north of us. This will allow for a chance for thunderstorms going into the evening. Right now standing around a 30% chance with some storms possibly going severe, with large hail, strong winds and lightening. By Thursday low pressure will pass through sending a dry cold front into the region. Not doing too much as the Concho Valley stays dry and warm with high temperatures reaching 89 degrees again. Behind this system is another area of high pressure keeping conditions well above average into the 90's for Friday and the start of the weekend. Another front expected for Sunday, this one staying dry as well, with a slight hint of showers Sunday night. For now will say staying dry but keeping an eye on what could develop. Monday looks to be back to seasonal near 84 degrees with mostly sunny skies.
