Not much change in the extended forecast for the Concho Valley. Nearly seasonal temperatures again today with highs reaching near 88 degrees with mostly sunny skies and light northeast winds 5 to 10 miles per hour. The low pressure that brought a lot of rain and thunderstorms earlier this week still sits across the east effecting parts of Arkansas. The systems movement will slow today eventually retreating back to the west into East Texas. This may allow a few more clouds into the area tonight as overnight lows drop to the mid 60's with partly cloudy skies and calm and variable winds. Going into Friday slightly warmer cracking into the 90's. Friday evening may bring a chance for showers to our north and east, but most of the Concho valley is expected to stay dry. Saturday brings a 20% chance for showers and storms, but again most of the moisture will be east of us so I wouldn't hold my breath. As we make out way into the weekend a traditional summer pattern starts to form as high pressure build back into the region switching the winds back to the south as temperatures warm up. Near 91 for Saturday and a 93 for Sunday, increasing back into the mid 90's through the next work week.
