KLST Thurs. 03/06/14 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Thursday, March 6, 2014.

Watch for the winds to stay calm through most of the day while switching as well eventually towards the south. Sadly with temperatures going above average yesterday, the cold front that hit around 2 quickly brought temps back to below average this morning. Sunny skies and the light south winds will help rebound conditions back to at least the seasonal mark near 68 degrees, with Friday looking even better. Tonight lows will dip back to the 40's as winds pick up out of the southwest 10 to 15 miles per hour. Going into Friday, a trough of low pressure will pass through the rockies pushing south towards Texas. Expect the front associated with the trough to pass through Saturday, but will also bring very breezy winds tomorrow. Southwest winds will increase 15 to 20 mph with temps back in the low 70's and partly sunny skies. But once that front passes breezy north winds will prevail on Saturday with much cooler temps back in the 50's. The front is also bringing with it a chance for rain, standing right now at 20% and lasting through Sunday. Very similar conditions Sunday with lighter winds leading towards a warm Monday, for the next work week. Jumping back to the 70's will help possibly lead to the 80's for next Tuesday, with a second cool down to the 70's by Wednesday.
