Unlike the past few days, warmer weather is expected for the Concho Valley. High pressure building along the surface will push east taking out winds back to the southwest this afternoon. That's a good warming component allowing for much more seasonal highs near 65 degrees later today. Winds will pick up slightly around the south-southwest 10 to 15 miles per hour. If only the winds stayed light, but overnight they start to pick up. As that high pressure sifts east a trough of low pressure will makes it's way to the region from the west. Tonight watch for a little more cloud cover with partly cloudy skies and breezy winds 15 to 20 miles per hour. By tomorrow those winds will switch to the west and pick up pace becoming 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 30. Temperatures will also jump up above average to the low 80's and mostly sunny skies. Saturday just takes those conditions and runs with them warming to the mid to upper 80's for the start of Meteorological spring. Going into Sunday we're watching for out next cold front to push through bringing more mild conditions and a 20% chance for showers. By Monday, look for drier conditions but back to cold temperatures with highs only reaching the mid 40's, spending the start of the work week warming back up.
