KLST Mon. 05/26/14 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Monday, May 26, 2014,
Quick little band of showers moved through the Concho Valley this morning adding 0.06" of rain to what was already a record breaking weekend.  This brings out annual total to just under 6.5" which is about an inch shy of the average.  That much better news compared to where we were just last Thursday, and there could be more.  Today watching for a 50% chance for thunderstorms this afternoon with highs only reaching the low 80's.  Those showers and storms could linger through the night and into Tuesday.  Right now a flash flood watch is in effect for the Concho Valley until 7am Tuesday.  Any additional rainfall could quickly fill our creeks and rivers effecting low water crossings again.  By Tuesday the low pressure that is bringing all this moisture will push eastward allowing for drier air to make it's way in.  Mostly cloudy skies will turn into mostly sunny and highs will warm into the upper 80's.  The more mild conditions will continue all the way through the week reaching possible the 90's just in time for the weekend.
