KLST Mon. 05/05/14 Noon Weather

Afternoon weather forecast for Monday, May 5, 2014.

If it wasn't for the winds this morning temperatures could be down to the seasonal 50's. Instead watch for those winds to increase throughout the day around 10 to 15 mph helping a much warmer trend. Sunny skies and high pressure building in from the west will crack the 90's and sore near the triple digits. Watch for near 99 degrees for San Angelo with higher temps north in parts of the Big Country. Tonight will be another mild evening as low only drop to the mid 60's with mostly clear skies. Winds will pick up becoming breezy 15 to 20 mph through the overnight hours and into tomorrow afternoon. Slightly cooler with highs only reach near 96 degrees, but still well beyond the seasonal norm this time of year. Dew points are expected to increase as well allowing for possible thunderstorms popping off Wednesday with a dry line and lingering through Thursday as a weak trough of low pressure pushes through. Still expecting to see the 90's for the majority of the work week, only dropping to around 89 by Friday. Only to jump back into the 90's for the next weekend.
