Those north winds will make wind chill a factor this morning, keeping temperatures feeling more like the single digits. Defiantly want to bundle up as you head out the door this morning and get those kids off the school. By the afternoon watch for decreasing clouds to mostly sunny and only warming to the low 40's. Winds will die down to around 5 to 10 miles per hour and switch eventually towards the south-southeast this evening. More cloud cover will influence the region as a short wave of energy makes it's way through, may also bring a very slight chance for freezing rain for our southeastern counties, south of an Ozona to Brownwood line. Temperatures will dip well below freezing to the 20's. For Tuesday, we're back to nearly seasonal as winds stay mainly out of the south-southeast for the afternoon with partly sunny skies. This kicks off the warmer trend as the 70's return just in time for Wednesday. Near 73 degrees on Thursday and possibly breaking the 80 degree mark for Friday. That's where we watch for our next cold front making it's way through the region. Temperatures will once again drop to the seasonal 60's with a possible shower as well. For now will keep conditions dry until we get closer in the forecast.
