Students at a local elementary school raised a couple thousand dollars by jump roping.

For three weeks, Cornerstone Christian Academy, held their "Jump Rope for Heart" fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association.

The elementary students decided to show off their jump roping skills and celebrate all of their hard work, Thursday.

Last year, the school raised over $3,000.

Physical Education Teacher, Natalie Monk, said many students simply wanted to raise money for the American Heart Association and did not want the prizes they earned.
