Jeff Corean joined Team KSAN in January 2014 as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Weekday Sports Reporter, then in August of 2014 he was promoted to Sports Director. Jeff has always had a deep passion for sports, which lead to a successful college football career at Mesabi College in Northern Minnesota.
After a brief stint in the oil and gas industry, Jeff decided to rekindle the old flame that burned for sports and enrolled in Angelo State University in the Fall of 2010 with the aspirations of becoming a Sports Broadcaster. From the start, Jeff was fortunate enough to begin his broadcasting career as the Color Commentator for Angelo State Men’s and Women’s basketball, Central High School basketball Play-by-Play and Lake View High School football Color Commentary. He was also the Co-Host of “Sports Huddle”, for nearly three years on 1260AM KKSA, which is San Angelo’s only live and local sports talk show.
Jeff dedicated his Summer of 2011 to the San Angelo Colts as their Director of Media Relations. Two years later in March, Jeff carried over his expertise in Media Relations to the San Angelo Bandits in the Director position for ten months
In August 2013, Jeff graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus in TV and Radio and a minor in Mass Media.
In his free time, you will more than likely find Jeff at any sports venue around the great state of Texas. High school sports has reserved the biggest place in Jeff’s heart. The raw talent, commitment, and drive to be successful are all qualities that high schools around Texas posses and are the exact same qualities that fuel his love of sports.
