Every week, you nominate a man or woman who's a leader in the community, an active volunteer, and works each day to make the neighborhoods a better place.
Every week, you nominate a man or woman who's a leader in the community, an active volunteer, and works each day to make the neighborhoods a better place.

This week's Hometown Hero is Johnny Fisher. Fisher is from San Angelo and graduated from Central High School where he and the Bobcats won Gymnastics State Championship in 1987.

For nearly 20 years, Fisher has worked with the San Angelo Fire Department where he is a Captain. He also spent 17 years working with Shannon Air Med as a Flight Medic.

He has been married to Jennifer for 22 years and they have several children. He has been an active member of College Hills Baptist Church for 21 years and helps teach three-year-olds' Wednesday night class.

Johnny Fisher, thanks for being our Hometown Hero.
