Chamber of Commerce officials met Wednesday to prepare ahead of time, and composed a plan to keep civilian jobs on base.

Members of the San Angelo Development Corporation also approved funding to hire former Goodfellow Wing Commander, Scott bethel, as a consultant.

Almost 1,200 civilian employees work at Goodfellow.

Board members also approved almost $3,200 to the West Texas Water Partnership.
