Last night Angelo State Softball opened play in the Lone Star Conference Showcase in Wichita Falls. However, it was far from a positive showcase for the City of Wichita Falls as the field they had set for the games proved to be in awful shape. The outfield had a mix of dirt and dead grass and was unlevel. ASU's Layni Robinson ended up suffering an injury while running the bases last night and could be out for a long time. A decison was made this morning to reduce the number of games of played this weekend and move all remaing games to the Midwestern State Campus, thus vacating the city field all together.
