Eli Peterson to Hardin Simmons

Lake View's 2,000 yard rusher will run his way to Hardin Simmons to play football in 2014.

It was a big day for many families across the Concho Valley as seven high school athletes signed their national letters of intent to play collegiate football.

Robert Lee's Will Howard got things started by signing at Hardin Simmons. That signing was followed by Lake View running back and soon-to-be teammate Eli Peterson.

Peterson rushed for over 2,200 and helped lead the Chiefs to their first playoff berth since 2008.

He said he chose to attend Hardin Simmons simply because it felt right.

Peterson also signed a letter to play football at Hardin Simmons. Eli signed his letter in front of friends and family inside his high school's library.
