It is go time for area track teams with hopes of state medals in clear site. The first step to Austin has begun for the small schools of the Concho Valley. Today's winners advance to Roscoe Highland next weekend. Some other area schools have already participated in an area track meet today. Marina Bigss from Eden has qualified for the region four championships winning the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.34 seconds. Britney Childers placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles and Christian Rogers finished 3rd in the pole vault for the Eden boys. With the high school track post season off and running, it looks as though the Concho Valley will be well represented wherever they run across the state of Texas this spring.
