Patrick Penry: "That's what it takes in the playoffs, to have a lot of fun and go out to compete every pitch."

Randy Ward: "So far it's been a lot of fun for the Central Bobcats, they've won two playoff series and advanced to the Regional Qtr-Finals, no other Bobcat team in history has done this.... This Bobcat team has found it's groove in the batters box and that's leading some big numbers on the scoreboard."

Nick Barron: "We had 16 hits our last game and that's impressive. Once we start to hit it trickles down like a domino effect and everybody starts hitting after that."

Brock Barger: "I think we're pretty confident in our sticks lately and we've been swinging the bat really well."

Penry: "They swung the bats extremely well, better than i've seen them in my three years here."

Ward: "It's not all about the hitting, the Bobcats have a dominant pitching staff as well. Brock Barger says that the biggest thing they've learned from last year to this year is how to get ahead on the opposition.

Barger: "I found the importance of throwing a lot of strikes and starting them off with strikes so that you can keep the hitters off balance with off speed stuff. That's really what I've been working on this year and I think that's what's going to help us get past this next round."

Ward: "Perennial power Southlake Carroll awaits this weekend, it's the same Dragons that eliminated Central a season ago. This time around, it feels like the Bobcats are out to even the score.

Penry: "We know that we can beat them is what it amounts to. We're a year older and we have everybody back minus Baker and Josh Sawyer.

Ward: "If the Bobcats can pull off the series win, it would be more than a simple win, coupled with their win over Arlington Martin last weekend, it would send a stern message that Central has come to play."

Barron: "We want to shock the state, everybody wants to shock the state and show that we have what it takes to win state."

Central and Southlake Carroll will play at Concordia University in Austin on Friday night at 7pm and on Saturday at 12pm.
