Belles Bats Contribute To Sweep of Midwestern State 03-30-14

Angelo State softball had a huge weekend at Myer Field hosting the Midwestern State Mustangs. The Belles would run rule Midwestern in both games of their double header on Friday leaving the two teams tied for the Lone Star Conference lead. The tie would not last long as ASU would win a close contest in game one of Saturday's double header 14-13, Then Angelo State would dominate game two 11 to 2 to complete the sweep of the Mustangs. The Belles bats were hot all weekend long driving in 45 runs over the four game weekend. Morgan Spearman would hit for the cycle in Saturday's game one contest and Mary Kate McKay put up solid pitching performances from the circle all weekend long. The Belles host Eastern New Mexico next weekend.
