The new ad campaign offers advice for drivers to help reduce the risk of being a crash statistic.
Last year, there were more than 4,000 crashed in the Permian Basin region that resulted in serious injuries or death. Over 350 people died in collisions in the 59-county region, resulting in a 13% increase over 2012.
The leading causes were speed and driver inattention. The most dangerous times of the day are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
